For example, Your practice may choose to send your patients an e-mail notification at the time the appointment is made, a telephone reminder and confirmation request one week before the appointment, and a telephone reminder the day before the appointment. By using a combination of telephone and e-mail reminders, practices can significantly reduce last minute cancellations, resulting in a net savings of both time and money.

Your practice configures appointment reminder rules from the practice’s scheduling template, which is accessible by MediSchedule’s touch-tone telephone menus or web site. Reminders can be refined or customized on a per-provider, per-appointment, and per-patient basis. Several pre-built scheduling templates are also available to meet the needs of most practices.
